Grades
Our Stainless Steel Rods are all available from stock in a choice of Grade 303 & Grade 303. Grade 303 is the Free Machining grade off Stainless Steel, whilst Grade 304 is the best grade for welding.
Stainless Steel Flat & Square Bars are stocked in Grade 304. We have a huge range of width x thickness combinations available. Grade 304 Stainless Steel Flat Bars can be machined, welded and polished.
We stock a range of Stainless Steel Tubes that are Mirror Polished. Supplied in Grade 304, our Bright Polished Stainless Steel Pipes not only look great, but also have excellent anti corrosive properties.
We stock Stainless Steel Sheets in Grade 304, available with a choice of finishes (Brush Polished, Bright Annealed, and 2B). 304 is an austenitic grade and therefore our Stainless Steel Sheets are non-magnetic.
Finishes
Stainless Steel Round Bars and Flat Bars are supplied in Mill Finish as standard. Mill finish means that they are as they have come from the Mill and have had no further finishing. Therefore whilst the actual surface finish can vary, typically the Stainless Steel Round Bars have a smooth semi-shiny surface and the Stainless Steel Flat Bars usually have a surface finish that is grey & dull. Both Stainless Steel Round and Flat Bars are very well suited to both bright and dull polishing. If you require Stainless Steel Bars Polished, please contact us for a quotation.
Our Stainless Steel Sheets come with a choice of surface finishes. You can choose from:
- Brushed Polished
- Bright Annealed (Similar to a Bright Polish)
- 2B Finish
Stainless Steel – Cut To Size
As with all of the metals that we sell, you can order Stainless Steel directly from our website ‘Cut To Size’. Simply select the bar length, or sheet size, that closest matches your requirements and then look out for the Green “I Would Like To Provide Cut Information” button which will allow you to request that we cut the selected item down to form 1 or more smaller pieces.
